The Science Fiction and Fantasy Society of India Trust (SFFSI Trust) is proud to announce the inclusion of two distinguished members of the Indian SFF community as new trustees: Mr. Santu Bag and Ms. Anushtup Sett.
This decision was unanimously approved in our 3rd official meeting held on Saturday, and we are thrilled to have their expertise and passion contributing to the future of Indian science fiction and fantasy.

Mr. Santu Bag is one of the founding members of Kalpabiswa Publication and an active contributor to Kalpabiswa Webzine, India’s only dedicated science fiction web magazine.
A prolific editor of Bengali SF anthologies, Mr. Bag has played a key role in nurturing contemporary SFF writing in Bengali.
His groundbreaking work in digitization and restoration has preserved many rare and historic science fiction books and magazines that were on the verge of being lost.
His deep knowledge and commitment to preservation and archiving will be invaluable in shaping the Trust’s archival and research initiatives, especially the Science Fiction Research Center.

Ms. Anushtup Sett is a critically acclaimed writer and translator in the Bengali SFF space.
She is the author of several Bengali speculative fiction books and has translated international voices such as Elizabeth Bear and Zoha Kazemi, enriching the Bengali literary landscape with global perspectives.
Her writing has been featured in the Sahitya Akademi’s Indian Literature magazine, and she is the proud recipient of the Bishmay Award 2025 for excellence in speculative storytelling.
Her insight as a woman author and translator brings a much-needed diversity of voice and perspective to the Trust’s work and community outreach.
We extend our warmest welcome to Mr. Bag and Ms. Sett, and look forward to working together as we build a thriving, inclusive, and forward-thinking future for Indian science fiction and fantasy.
Stay tuned for upcoming projects, publications, and the launch of our Science Fiction Research Center.
